My family traveled to Brawley, CA this week for my uncle's funeral. It was a sad reason for the trip although really nice to see my dad, uncles, aunt, and cousins, some of which I haven't seen in years or ever! Brawley is just north of where I was born and raised until I was 4 at which point we moved to AZ.

When you married your husband did you automatically become a US citizen? I am just asking because I live in El Cilantro (Right outside of Brawley) and the US is not taking anymore Mexican citizens.
You are so funny, hubby! For some of you who are confused by this comment, El Centro/Brawley is right on the Mexican border although still in CA. My husband likes to joke about this obviously:).
