Trimming the Tree & The Annual Walters Family Christmas Party 2009

I just love the holidays! We get to do so many fun things and hang out with family that we don't normally see very much. This past Saturday Kenny's family (mom's side) held their annual Christmas party for which Kenny was the MC for. This may come as a surprise but he is really good at it :)! Then Sunday morning we woke up and put up the tree (yes, put it up. meaning it's fake) and decorated it. It's a lot of work but at the same time so fun to see the excitement in my boys' eyes as they unwrap each ornament and ask about each one. It's also an awesome way to talk again about the meaning of Christmas and to be reminded of the amazing grace that God gave us when he sent his son to earth as a baby.

*side note - I am so encouraged to see how things are really starting to click for Trey. we recently lost our power after that crazy storm. We were talking about how thankful we need to be for something like power that we don't think much about. We talked about when it's dark that it's hard to see and that light is so helpful for us. Trey added "yah, just like sin is darkness and Jesus is the light!" Indeed He is!

I have never seen a picture of Trey that looks SO MUCH like Kenny!

Sweet boys. I love seeing pictures of them in their jammies . . . I love little boys in their pj's :) by the way - it sounds like Trey was offering to babysit (on my blog) - you just let me know what is a good time and date!
