Kenny completed his first tour for Automatik - 6 weeks of hubby traveling Sunday-Friday for 6 weeks made for some serious sanctification:). It also opened up some doors for him professionally and showed him that he LOVES being a facilitator!
On November 26th, Trey turned EIGHT! I still can't believe how big and grown up that sounds. When Trey was a baby, that seemed so old and yet, he's still my little boy. We celebrated at Triple P with friends and family and we all had a great time!
On Thanksgiving, we celebrated with family and friends at the Fumusa/Caruso farm. It was such a nice time - beautiful weather, great food and wide-open space for the kids to safely run, bike and play.
Right before the boys began Christmas break, they had a Christmas concert. I loved watching them sing their songs that they worked so hard on all year and it showed me how much Trey actually has no fear of being in front of a large crowd. He hammed it up BIG time.
The boys have been on break since December 21st and are going back tomorrow, January 7th. We have had some good times and hard times but all together busy times! The holiday break is my favorite break for the boys because it's filled with parties, lots of family and friend time and most importantly more quiet, intentional time to focus on the birth of our Savior!
On Christmas Eve, we found out that during a CT scan to ironically place a feeding tube in my father in law, the doctor discovered that he had a very sick looking liver and they would do a colonoscopy to check and see if what they thought was true - that he had colon cancer and it metastasized. Wow. What? Such a shock! On December 28th, after trying a colonoscopy and being unsuccessful, they confirmed via liver biopsy that he did have cancer and that it was progressed and we needed to start discussing Hospice. Again...I'm sorry, what? There is no fear in death when you are talking about a believer. But my father-in-law did not believe and so this news was even more sad.
PRAISE GOD--fast forward to last week and he told Kenny that he DID believe and DID repent and DID desire to be a child of God! He was even baptized in his hospital bed with many witnesses. Such a wonderful transformation! We are still in shock and still praising God!!!
On January 3rd, Tyson turned SIX! My sweet baby boy is growing up so fast. I love to watch him and his brother together - I see a very special relationship growing and I can only pray that it continues and strengthens!
We praise God for the trials and triumphs this year...it has been full of them! We are thankful and rejoice in the Risen Lamb who gives us hope in this life...and that it doesn't end here. Eternity awaits!
